SCIFESOL

FINITE ELEMENT SOLVER IN SCILAB

1.JPG

SCIFESOL is a finite element solver , programmed in Scilab for solving linear static and dynamic structural problems.

  • It is a toolbox with an easy to use GUI for pre and post processing activities.

  • It can run in both GUI and scripting mode.

  • It can import mesh from GMSH meshing software.

  • FEM scripts and functions implemented in SCIFESOL can be easily incorporated in custom designs.

  • It can be used as a research and learning tool for students and professionals.

  • It can be used to develop custom design workflows where the design is controlled by Design-By-Formula approach and then validated through FEA using the functions in SCIFESOL.

SCIFESOL is developed in Scilab which is a free open source alternative to Matlab. It is a numerical computing system with many elementary and advanced mathematical functions and 2-D ,3-D graphical functions for plotting data and many more , which are useful in scientific computing and analysis.
